What Is Power Source?

What is Power Source?
In John 15:5 , Jesus said: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Heʼs telling us that as His followers, our source of strength is the life-giving power that comes from Him. As followers of Christ, we need His strength if we are ever to live the “abundant life” that Jesus promised. So how do we tap into the life-giving power?

When are the classes held?
We have three “terms” each year (Fall, Winter & Spring). Each term last from 10 – 12 weeks. Most of the classes are held on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7:30. We occasionally will have Wednesday classes that last longer than an hour. We also have some Power Source classes that meet on Sunday evenings. This can be a great benefit for those who are not available on Wednesdays.

Whatʼs the difference between Power Source & Connection Groups?
Great question… glad you asked! Power Source classes are studies that are held over a time period of 10-12 weeks as opposed to Connection Groups and Small groups that are “open-ended” groups. The main focus of Power Source classes is to be able to study a particular topic for a certain length of time. Each class will be made up of different people. On the other hand, Connection Groups are built around groups of people joining together in Christian fellowship for Bible study. Connection Groupsgenerally have a “core” group that meets together indefinitely. You should take a Power Source class in order to learn more about a specific topic. You should join a Connection Group to join in Christian fellowship and Bible study
