What to expect at OBC Kids:

Safe & Secure — Every team member is trained and background-checked. When you check in, you and your child will get a corresponding sticker. This sticker is required for all adults to gain entry to the children’s area.

Bible-Based Fun — Each week, elementary-age kids participate in a high-energy and age-appropriate time of worship with live singers, engaging video graphics, and Biblically sound lyrics.

Learning and Community — In Big Room, kids experience engaging Biblical teaching through Bible stories, songs, games, and prayer, then head to age and gender-based small groups where leaders help reinforce the week’s “Bottom Line” — the one key truth about God we want them to remember and apply throughout the week.

Did you know that OBC has a Sunday morning group designed especially for kids with special needs?

MORE INFORMATION

Friendship Kids is designed to create a loving,
safe environment where kids with special needs can
grow spiritually, physically, and socially.

We handle the details of Friendship Kids based on the individual child. Our staff always looks to serve families and kids with special needs in the best way we can.  Sometimes that means in a separate environment, and sometimes that means with a buddy in our elementary classes.

If you have a child who would participate in this ministry or if you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact us.

FAQ

WHAT WILL MY CHILD LEARN IN OBC KIDS?

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written and we strive to bring its stories to life through creative activities and discussions that keep kids engaged. We want every child to love God's Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives. We know they'll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, small groups, and teaching.

HOW DOES OBC KIDS ENSURE MY CHILD IS SAFE AND SECURE?

At OBCKids, safety is one of our highest priorities. That's why we have a secure check-in system. Upon check-in, you'll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you'll show the OBCKids leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from their room.

Every OBCKids volunteer leader is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by background-checked security during each experience to make sure your child stays safe and secure.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message.
