Sharron Kemp

Prayer Ministry Director

Sharron joined our church staff in January 2025. She grew up as a pastor's kid and lived all over the southeast. Growing up around churches and their staff has been one of the biggest blessings of her life. She loves the church and the people and loves being a part of what God is doing in all churches, but especially at OBC.

She has been married to George for over 30 years. They have an adult son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild, as well as a teenage daughter, Alexis, who is very involved in our Collide High School program. They began attending OBC in 2020 while looking for a dynamic middle school program for their daughter. Sharron says that OBC had that and so much more and that they never even visited another church after their first visit.

She's excited to serve as our Prayer Ministry Director because she believes prayer is truly the bedrock and foundation of our church. Sharron loves how dedicated our prayer volunteers are to praying for all the needs of our church. She's passionate about prayer AND hot tea. She loves visiting new tea rooms, tea parties - anything tea related!
