Stephen Griffith

Discipleship Director

Stephen Griffith joined our staff as our Discipleship Director in August 2023. He is a graduate of App State with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. After serving as a Trooper with the NC State Highway Patrol for the last 7 years, he felt called to go into ministry, and more specifically, go into ministry at the church his dad pastors! He has attended OBC his entire life and his favorite aspect about the discipleship ministry is watching the gospel completely change people’s lives. The gospel was a wrecking ball in his own life and he can’t wait to see Jesus do the same for you. He’s married to Rebecca and has two sons, Nathan and Everett. Fun fact: Stephen could low-key be a food critic if he had the opportunity.
